Kathmandu, Feb 21 (RSS): The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested a man accused of banking offense.
Ashok Harsha Bajracharya of Dhobhidhara in Kathmandu-30 was arrested on Tuesday on the charge of acquiring a loan of Rs. 14.2 million rupees from the Machhapuchre Bank, Putalisadak branch on the basis of fake collateral. Bajracharya had presenting fake documents to claim ownership over a land that did not belong to him.
Further investigation as per the Banking Offense and Punishment Act, 2064 has been initiating after receiving a seven days limitation from the Patan High Court to keep him under judicial custody on the charge of banking offense, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Bureau Shyam Oliya.
